Kane kept what Dr. Pratchett said in mind when he wrote that letter to Casey. It came out a bit angrier than he intended but he didn't really care about that.
Let the idiot sweat a little. Writing that did get out a lot of steam so he wasn't as upset when he next saw Vera. He was able to act like he usually did and try not to let what happened bother him.
The next time he went under he was out for a long time. He was shocked to discover that there were Christmas decorations up when he came back but he immediately knew why. Candy canes. They were used as part of the decorations.
He sighed as he went to go find a nurse about getting them replaced. He didn't mind them but Casey did and if he didn't come out for Christmas, Vera would be put out.
"Hey, you need to take these down or Casey won't come out until January," Kane told one of them.
