Kane scowled. "I don't bag on him to make myself feel better! I do it because it's true."
"It's your opinion," Dr. Pratchett corrected, looking at him intently. "Opinions aren't facts, Kane."
"Everybody thinks he's weak, not just me."
"And who exactly is 'everybody'?"
"Candy. People at Casey's school and work. The guy that tried to mug him. He wouldn't have done that if he didn't think the idiot was an easy target. And look where that got us. All Casey's weakness does is cause problems."
"So this all started with Candy then. Why do you trust her opinion so much after all this time?"
Kane gaped at him. What kind of question was that?!
"You know Candy wasn't trustworthy by now," Dr. Pratchett continued. "So why do you still believe what she had to say about Casey?"
