"Did you ever meet Kane before you were aware of Mr. Parker's diagnosis?" the prosecutor continued.
Vera nodded. "Yes, a few times. I thought they were identical twins."
"And you never found it suspicious that you never saw them in the same place at the same time?"
"No. Casey seemed to have some sort of issue with Kane and told me not to get involved with him. This being the hallucination of Kane, not the alternate personality. As Dr. Jamison said, Casey wasn't aware of Kane's existence."
"You claim an awful lot of ignorance, Miss Gilmore."
"Your Honor, my witness is not on trial here!" Devin interjected.
