The story spilled forth haphazardly. It wasn't exactly chronological because Jenna had to frequently go back and explain additional details. Ellen sat there calmly and let her talk, occasionally looking up from her notetaking to give nods of acknowledgement so she would continue.
"…and things were really good for a few weeks until he accidentally called me Tessa while half-asleep and all my insecurity came rushing back. I avoided him for over a week until he had to come pick me up at the hospital when I got hurt at work.
"We've kind of gone back to the way things are before since then after talking things out a bit but I still can't get rid of the stupid thought that he doesn't actually love me and I don't deserve his forgiveness. I just want things to be normal," Jenna finished before burying her face in her hands.
