Jenna was mortified by everyone's teasing earlier—she should have known something like that would happen since her notorious lifelong tomboy reputation continued to follow her—but it was hard to stay like that in the face of the competition. She had always loved a good contest.
She wasn't even embarrassed when Bryce peeled her off of Max after attacking him because he acted like that was a perfectly normal thing to do. She supposed he had seen her interact with her brothers (particularly Jonas) violently often enough.
He dove into their activity headfirst despite never doing anything like that before and seemed to be enjoying himself, which was a relief. He fit into her lifestyle better than she would have imagined.
Jenna would have to bring him along next time too. He would probably love that.
