Jenna forced herself to take several deep breaths before walking into class. She was immediately assaulted by a flurry of questions from her concerned friends.
"Are you okay?"
"What happened?"
"Is Wesley okay? What about Joseph?"
"Why did you run off like that?"
"They're fine, everything's fine!" she reassured them. "I was crying because I got good news. The best news I've gotten in a long time. It was sort of urgent that I told my brother though so I had to go home."
They all looked at her like she was nuts. "…good news? What sort of good news could make a person cry that hard?"
"It's a long and complicated story so I'll have to tell you all at lunch. Okay?"
They accepted her explanation reluctantly and Chase handed her his notebook. "Here, copy my notes before class starts. You didn't actually miss all that much after running out like that and I know you write fast."
