Jenna shrugged. It didn't matter if her reputation at work was in shreds since that job was a dumpster fire anyway and she would be leaving it in a few weeks.
"It's my fault. I was trying to make her laugh on purpose," Jonas confessed. "Don't judge her too hard. I knew what to say to push her 'hysterical laughter' button. Side effect of being together for more than twenty years."
Maura smiled indulgently and shook her head. "You two are quite a pair. I have to say I wouldn't have expected Jen's absentee husband to be the funny type. She doesn't talk about you much but when she does she always sounds sad. It's obvious how much she misses you when you're apart."
