The questions poured out of her like a flood as they came. The more she knew the more she could feel in control of SOMETHING even as her world fell apart for the second time. She couldn't stand feeling 100% helpless.
Killian was very patient with her as usual. "It seems fairly open and shut but so did the last one. Shaw was arrested the moment he landed in Florida because we had enough to hold him on due to his plane tickets and car rental.
"We're still building the case against him—we have to make it airtight considering what happened last time—but considering his previous offense against you, we should have a leg to stand on. Your mother doesn't deserve to lose both of her youngest children so I'm going to do my best to get you two home."
