Jenna didn't know what to think about everything that happened after Bryce left so abruptly. She was pretty sure why he did it though. She freaked him out by being unusually forward.
He might like her an awful lot but he was still an awkward person by nature. Most of the time it was in an endearing way at least. Like right now. Fleeing after his deer caught in headlights moment was actually kind of funny.
To be perfectly honest, she had freaked herself out today too. She broke one of her self-imposed rules about being in Witness Protection. Do not get close to anyone.
Kissing Bryce and letting him begin to trickle through the cracks in her anxious heart had been a mistake but, at the same time, she really wanted to kiss him again. What was she supposed to do about that?
