Jenna knew what she had to do. She had tortured her poor boyfriend for too long already. If she waited until she was ready, they would be waiting forever.
They were already living together, coparenting Wesley the way they should have been all along, and making long-term plans in terms of pets (they finally got that puppy) and vacations so it was a bit pointless to hold off on making things official. Once she was firm in her resolve she was antsy up until Wesley went to bed and she had Bryce to herself.
How was she supposed to bring this up? She hadn't thought about that part.
It might be better to do it quickly to get it over with. As soon as she had him alone downstairs and was certain Wesley couldn't overhear, she blurted it out. "I'll marry you!"
He blinked at her in shock, unable to formulate a response into words for over a minute. The first thing he said was "…are you sure?"
