Jenna stewed about it right up until her next appointment. When she arrived Ellen wanted to see her homework first and praised her for getting it done because a lot of people didn't do the things she asked them to on their own time.
She couldn't even feel good about the compliment because she was about to burst at the seams from the force of her question. "Bryce wants me to marry him and says he doesn't care that I'm still a mess because if we're planning to stay together anyway he wants things to be official. I don't know what I'm supposed to do about that."
The therapist regarded her calmly. "What do you want to do about it?"
Jenna was surprised by this. Did she not understand why it would be a problem after listening to her soap opera last week?
