The next day, Jenna woke up alone as usual but found Bryce downstairs instead of on his morning run. He was in the middle of making breakfast and beamed when he saw her.
"Good morning, beautiful!"
She couldn't help but smile back. That was a lot more enthusiasm than he typically displayed even if he was a morning person. "Good morning. You sleep okay?"
"Never better. You?" he asked cheerfully.
Actually, Jenna had slept pretty well too. She didn't have any nightmares last night and that was nice. She couldn't help but wonder if what happened between them played into that at all.
"Yeah. What are you making?"
"Scrambled eggs and bacon. I figure you should eat first then I can wake Wesley up to have some before it gets too cold," Bryce said before pulling her against him once she got close enough to the stove.
