The rest of the night was fine because all they did after setting up the tents was sit around the fire laughing, talking, and making smores. This didn't feel too different from Sunday dinners so Bryce had a good time.
Wesley got to stay up later than usual because they were on vacation so they all went to bed around ten with plans to wake up somewhat early and go to a nearby lake after breakfast. He was visibly confused when he saw his parents in the same sleeping bag.
"I thought you guys had your own rooms."
Jenna seemed embarrassed. He still hadn't caught onto the fact that his parents had been sleeping together recently because they woke up at different times and it looked like she didn't want to explain it to him.
Bryce could take this one since it had been his request that led to this. "We don't have our own tents though."
Thankfully, Wesley accepted that answer at face value. "Oh. That makes sense."
