"You have a very interesting career," Bryce said in awe. "What got you interested in being an exotic vet in the first place? You said it was because of wildlife rescues and sanctuaries before but was there one in specific?"
She nodded. "I fell in love with big cats at the Big Cat Rescue in Tampa when I was a kid and immediately knew I wanted to work there when I grew up. Actually, I was planning on interning there the summer I met you but obviously that didn't end up happening."
"Did you do it after coming home?"
"No. I couldn't leave Wesley for twelve weeks since it's too far to commute and interns stay on the campus. Working there now is kind of out the window since he would be devastated living too far away to play with his cousins."
Dreams changed when you became a mother. You couldn't do all the same things as when you were unattached.
