Jenna had more fun at the beach than she should have. Spending time with Wesley and Bryce at the same time that didn't feel awkward or like a chore was definitely new but there had been a shift in their dynamic since Sunday.
She had told him she would let them get to know each other and try to make things work for their son's sake and though she had struggled that was still her intention. The two biggest roadblocks were her own conscience and the fact that she believed he was in love with a ghost.
It was abundantly clear that Bryce was still Bryce no matter how much time had passed. His expressions were exactly as she remembered and it seemed that his sense of humor hadn't changed much if at all either since he laughed at the same sorts of things that he used to. Time truly had stopped for him but she was so different from Tessa and even the Jenna underneath from back then that it was hard to reconcile them.
