Bryce would have been content to stay there forever with his arm around Jenna but, of course, all good things had to come to an end. She woke up and squinted at him.
"…what are you doing?"
"You fell asleep on him, Mom," Wesley piped up from her other side. "He said he moved his arm so you would be more comfortable."
That had been what he said but only because his son asked him what he was doing a while ago too. He couldn't exactly admit he was taking advantage of the moment because she would never allow such casual closeness while she was awake.
"Is that so?" Jenna asked dryly.
She saw through that in a second; she wasn't as gullible as a six-year-old. Surprisingly, she didn't push him away. For the rest of the movie she let him keep his arm there though she wasn't snuggled up to him as closely as she had been when she was asleep.
