Bryce hardly slept after leaving Jenna's apartment that night. There was far too much to think about.
The following morning, Peter noticed him nearly run into a wall at work on his way in and immediately knew what was up. "I take it you talked to Jenna?"
"Yeah. I wouldn't exactly say the air has been cleared but we've come to a sort of agreement regarding Wesley. That's going to have to be good enough for now. I already called my boss to submit my resignation before coming here. There's no need to keep traveling anymore since I found what I was looking for," he admitted.
"…what were you looking for exactly?"
"Someone like Tessa. I didn't think I would actually find her because I thought she was dead but here we are. Wesley clinched it for me; I'm not going to miss another moment with him. Sorry if that's weird for you but they're my family too."
