Jenna mercifully slept until ten. Wesley had already gone downstairs to get breakfast courtesy of her mother and was playing Play-Doh with her and Jonas when she emerged from her room.
"Morning," she mumbled sleepily.
"Mama, Wee pay wif Gammy n' JoJo!" Wesley cried with a big smile on his face. "Look!"
She looked and saw a misshapen lump of Play-Doh that could have been anything. She smiled at his earnestness. "It looks great, baby. Are you having fun?"
"Uh huh!"
"He's absolutely precious, Jenna Benna. You've done a great job raising him," Sarah said proudly. "You're a good boy, aren't you, Wesley?"
"Wee gud boy," he agreed. "Gammy gud too."
Jenna's heart melted. He had bonded with his grandma so much faster than expected. Then again, Sarah Mitchell was an expert with young children considering she had raised six and continued to regularly babysit an additional seven. Now eight.
