Unfortunately, Jenna knew what she had done was unforgivable even if she ever did get the chance to leave the program and tell Bryce the truth. There wasn't a point bringing up old hurt since if she ever got out it would be twenty or thirty years from now.
He definitely would have moved on by then. Why show up and bring on unnecessary pain when he would have already been long married with grown children?
By then he already would have missed out on knowing Wesley for too long. They would both be angry with her. The thought of her sweet boy hating her over this was too much to bear since he was one of the two family members she had left.
At least with her identity as a widow she would be able to tell her son about his father fondly as if he was already dead. As long as they were in Witness Protection, they would never be able to tell him the truth.
