Chapter 1 - Disappeared

Chapter one

Evan was just an average student with a 2.5 GPA, black African American, not really the most upbeat student. Then there was me. 3.5 gpa, I was white, of american descent, always putting my full effort into the classroom. We were both just a couple freshman who always hung out after school at one of our houses, or in the alley behind the main supermarket approximately two miles from our houses. Evan was four months younger than me. We loved to smoke pot late at night past our bedtime in the alley. We have known each other since 5th grade and started smoking around early 8th grade.

One day, we were casually taking a stroll to the alley in the cold, dark night, laughing at each other's jokes along the way when we spotted a black Dodge Challenger slowly driving about approximately five miles per hour, about two hundred feet behind us, and absolutely definitely stalking us. We didn't think about it too much because who would be stalking a couple 9th graders just laughing at nighttime, right? I wish I would've thought something of it, and maybe things would be better but that was definitely a mistake that I wish I could take back but we can't go back in time and change the future. All we have is the present. That night was the most petrifying night I have ever experienced in my life. I would now cry every night and soon start my journey to solving this horrid mystery. If only I knew the horrors that awaited me.
