"What if I had a plan?", Dante said staring at Serena with intensity still in his eyes.
"What!? Are you listening to me at all? We are just going to get ourselves killed. Do you understand that?", Serena said in an attempt to convince him.
"Serena, you are saying I should give up on the person I love. I can't do that."
On hearing this, she said nothing. She knew what he was feeling deep down, besides she had a similar experience sometime ago. When she, Mia and Ren regained their memories they wanted nothing more than to search the world for their loved ones. Though at this point they knew they were not getting them back. She knew that helping Dante to find out if Cory was still out there was the right thing to do, however it did not change the fact that it was too dangerous.
For someone that had faced High Fractures before, she knew the incredible power that they had and unlike the current human beings they had a variety of abilities in their possession.
"At least hear my plan out before you can decide", he said with a saddened expression.
"Okay okay. I will listen but if it doesn't pan out I won't accept it."
"Thanks", he said smiling broadly to which Serena did the same.
Dante explained his plan to her for about thirty minutes. Within those thirty minutes, Serena had come to understand both pros and cons of his plan. It was extremely complicated but it was quite capable of working.
"So this plan of yours, tell me the possibility of it's success", Serena asked due to her curiosity.
"Uuhh, out of a 100% we have a 5% chance of success with this plan. I won't say it is great, however it is more than enough for me."
Serena closed her eyes after this. To Dante it seemed as if she was at conflict with herself on whether to go ahead with this plan or not. After a minute of thinking, she finally opened her eyes before responding.
"Are you sure about this? You know this plan solely depends on you, if you fail we both die."
"I know. I won't let any of us die, I promise", Dante spoke with assurance in his voice.
"Okay then we will go ahead with your plan", Serena said.
Dante was happy at the moment but he couldn't really celebrate just yet. There were just too many things for him to think about. Dante felt that Serena risking her life to go ahead with his plan was her way of saying I trust you, it was best he did not mess things up.
After a few minutes of preparing, they walked to towards the city. Within that time, Dante was still lost in thought. This plan was extremely complicated and it did not only have to do with taking down the High Fracture, it also had to do with a plan of escape. The issue with this was that unlike the last time, they would not be close enough to the strange tower to escape. They both knew that they would have to do it by themselves.
On reaching the city once again, Dante could not help but open his mouth at the sight of the city. Dante lived in New York City and he was well aware of what it looked like from a distance, however right now all he could see was a place that looked nothing like it. Breathing in the bluish mist in the air, Serena took in a deep breath before looking at Dante with a determined look. He understood this look immediately and began to run in the direction opposite of her. Wasting no time, they had began the operation.
Serena removed six bullets from her ammo pouch and began to imbue them with massive amounts of Nano Lites. This was much more than she had ever used before, however it was all part of the plan. She couldn't help but smile at the thought that she missed the bluish air which engulfed the world. After she was done with this, she began to dash through the city at high speed. With ordinary bullets in her gun she shot bullets up in the air. The sound of gun shots echoed through the once quite city attracting the attention of multiple Fractures.
Serena was not worried by this as her plan was actually to drag all the Fractures away from the area. She fired more shots on noticing the crowd she had drawn to herself. At the moment about twenty of these creatures were currently in pursuit of her with their number increasing by the second.
Dante who was in another part of the city was hearing the sounds of gun shots in the air. He smiled as he realized that Serena was carrying out her part of the plan perfectly. Fractures were rushing towards the source of these shots not noticing Dante who was currently hiding under a car. When the numbers of these creatures reduced till they seemed none existent, he came out of his hiding place.
Looking around Dante searched for any Fracture which could be in the area and luckily for him he had identified one. It seemed to be rushing towards the same direction as the others so he quickly got it's attention by dragging his Anti-Fracture sword across the ground. A kind of shrieking sound escaped from it immediately catching it's attention.
The Fracture increased in size almost immediately once it's once blue crystals turned red. It dashed towards Dante at high speed, however for some strange reason Dante could see and anticipate it's fast movements just fine. Waiting for it to reach him, he bent down touching the ground. When the beast had come close enough he used his creation powers to create pillars of tough solid ice which trapped the Fracture in place. While it struggled to break free, Dante gave a quick swing to it's head with his Anti-Fracture blade bringing the creature to it's end. The blade wasted no time consuming it's remains to grow even stronger.

Dante smiled as he realized that he was now capable of handling the creatures he was once afraid off. Spotting another Fracture with the corner of his eyes, he dragged his blade on the ground once again attracting it's attention. Now he could finally begin his own part of the plan.
