Raven clenched her butt cheeks together as she waited for the door to open. She was not the biggest fan of surprises but she was notoriously curious. The orphan was somewhat giddy to be let in on the fold so soon since her arrival.
The blonde-haired deity produced narcissism in chemical form as she smirked down at the black and silver-haired girl. Raven rolled her eyes and nodded towards the double door with an impatient scowl on her face. Angelica almost squealed at her expression. There was something almost endearing about the darkly dressed newcomer that Angelica was not used to. She took a final dramatic pause and then pushed the door open. To reveal the infamous: Silver Room.
Raven turned towards the self-satisfied goddess beside her with a less than impressed look on her face. Angelica quirked her eyebrow and smirked down at her new target. There was no way that her twin sister could compete with the Silver Room. Everyone knew that. She expected a beguiled look on the new girl's face but instead, she had a blank and utterly underwhelmed look on her structured face.
"Wow ... with digs like these, no wonder you guys always win," Raven muttered with an obvious sarcastic edge in her voice. Angelica facepalmed her aura. (She was not about to ruin her make up). She sighed as the realization seeped into her pore-less skin and glared at the newcomer.
The orphan bit the inside of her cheek and offered a nervous chuckle, raising her hands up in surrender. "Fine, just tell me what it is I'm looking at and I promise to be impressed," she said. Angelica waved her off and pulled the smartass towards the centre of the room.
"No, need to fake it here, princess. Forget 'impressed', you're about to piss yourself," Angelica stated with all of the confidence of the goddess that she looked like. She raised her hands above her head and clapped three times. The light silver coloured room turned black and then a golden horizon crept up the walls until the entire room was baked in gold. It was beautiful. Raven eyes widened. Maybe people down here peed themselves in the face of beauty? She was in awe of the scene, but it was not going to garner the expected response from her.
But the giant ass dragon that shot up from the floor was definitely enough to elicit that from her!
It barred its red-stained teeth at the pair of them and Raven tried to make a run for it, but the taller blonde woman held her firmly in place with a vice grip on her forearm. The ferocious beast clawed its way closer toward them, using the huge claws at eh end of its wings as pikes to pull itself closer to them.
Suddenly, Raven's entire body was enflamed and her heart was beating three times faster than should be humanly possible. The dragon cocked its head to the side and halted right In front of the pair of women. Raven was a second away from passing out and Angelica was utterly speechless as the scaled beast stopped just shy of their faces and bowed its head toward Raven. The orphan lost her tongue in shock but instinctively raised her hand to meet the beast's prominent snout. It's glowing hazel eyes (which looked magical in the golden hue) reflected her own and when she touched its snout, her heartbeat calmed and synced with the dragon's. it raised its head and released a time stopping roar that rattled the entire fabric of reality around them and then it was gone. A blink of an eyelid robbed Raven of the most beautiful thing she'd ever experience in her 18 years of life or death.
"Guess, we know what you are now," Angelica breathed out and then turned to her companion with a relieved smile. She studied the shorter girl's shocked face for a moment before bursting out into full chested laughter.
Raven got over her shock quicker than she should have when she saw the blonde goddess beside her keeled over in laughter. The orphan glared at her. As gorgeous as she was, the silver and black-haired girl was not a fan of anyone taking her for a gat.
"Ye done, yet?" she grumbled.
Angelica looked up at her for the first time since they'd met and was confronted with a stormy gaze. She cocked her head to the side and allowed her laughter to die down lightly before standing up straight.
"Oh, come on, princess. What's with the sourpuss? I thought you'd be happy to figure out what you are" she asked with an adorable pout on her face.
Raven's glare softened slightly but she kept her arms crossed firmly against her chest and looked away. Her purple-eyed guide smirked at her angry stance. She waltzed up to her and played with the shorter girl's cheeks. Raven wiggled away from her touch and pushed past her. She had a faint hint of red brushed across her cheeks. Angelica studied her for a few more seconds before bursting out into laughter again.
"What's so funny?" Raven grumbled and turned sharply on her heels.
"I can't believe the Light is finally going to have a dragon!" Angelica cheered and bounced on her heels. Her purple eyes took on a lavender hue as she grinned at Raven. Something fluttered inside of her, but she forced herself to ignore it. "Just wait. By the time you get back to that sinking crypt, you'll be begging to come back here. I am so not missing out on another dragon" she was mostly speaking to herself at this point. The formerly regal-looking woman looked like a giddy teenager preparing to woo her first girlfriend. It was a haunting look for someone trapped in an underground death game.
"Wait," Raven said and grabbed the giddy blonde's shoulder. "You said another…. Is there someone else here like me?" If there was another dragon here, she needed to find them. She needed to know how to be… well a fucking dragon.
Angelica snorted and smirked at Raven. The orphan was not amused. She gritted her teeth.
"I'm soooo happy that you're having fun, but I asked you a fuckin' question. Is there another dragon here?' she growled
Angelica pried Raven's fingers off her shoulder and started to play with her fingers. She put on a thinking face and smiled down at the fuming newcomer's face "Not only is there another dragon here… you're already besties with her."
Raven's angry façade cracked, and she wracked her mind for any hints that she'd met and befriended a dragon in the literal days that she'd been here. The first person that came to mind. Lucifer. Her eyes widened and her eyes shot up to Angelica.
"I know who you're thinking of. And no, my little sissy is a no go. While she's got the cold-blooded, scaly factor down. She's no fire-breather. Believe me, nobody would survive that. But, no, Luci is not the dragon. The person you're looking for is much closer to you. Go figure you'd make an instant connect with the only other one of your kind," she said. She was downright smug right now.
"Dagne." Raven finally said.
"Sexy and Smart. Wow, I really lucked out with you, princess," Angelica breathed out and played with the dragon blood's fingers again.
