The temperature in Light city was much cooler today. Usually, at this time, It should be sunny but instead, the clouds have shrouded the sky.
Normally, it would be no brainer to think it is abnormal but the moment a man soared in the sky with blue sixteenth wings flapping behind his back, all the clouds disappeared and the sky was clear again.
The residents of the city were bewildered at this strange phenomenon. How can it be sunny all of a sudden? However, no one has enough time to think about it, they ignored it, continuing their daily routine.
Natsuki after finishing her conversation with that strange man came right next door to the backside of the church.
It was a completely broken Pavillion with no signs of life as the place itself was cursed.
The inhabitants, of the city, deem this place to be cursed and rarely approach it. Though there was something odd lying in the middle, it was a sculpture of a man sitting in the center, in place of his eyes there were two crystals, which were gazing far at the sky.
It had eight wings behind his back but they were different than those possessed by the man from earlier. These were excluding a divine feeling and were completely white.
Natsuki arrived in front of it and stared right at its eyes.
"Till when it will be like this..." She sighed with helplessness reflecting in her eyes.
She stayed there for a moment before turning around to find Leon.
"What a strange God... left me alone unguarded. Don't he fear me? Or is he that confident in his spell..."
As she was busy cursing Leon to her heart's desire, Silver sneakily left her shoulders and arrived in the front of the statue.
"Woof..."
Natsuki froze. She gazed at Silver to find tears brooming down his eyes.
"Impossible!! I check his memories. Does he still remember it?"
She hurriedly rushed forward and picked up the silver. However, soon she smiled and sighed. "It was just a reminiscence... For a moment I thought this little guy..."
"This little guy what?"
Natsuki was not surprised by Leon's arrival. She calmly faced his gaze and lied outright. "It is nothing. Let's go... I have done my part of the deal. The archangels won't trouble you anymore."
"Oh." I nodded.
The archangel problem is solved but what's with this girl?? Hiding something? not like she can hide it forever.
I looked in the center to find a sculpture of a god. It is rumored that this is the statue of Light God, though nobody knows who is light God or does someone like light God actually exists or not. There is just a rumor that this city was named on his behalf thousands of years ago. Many think of him as a small God and give it no virtual importance.
Natsuki glanced to her right to see Leon staring at the statue. She stopped there and along with Leon she kept looking in the same direction. Silver also started mimicking their reactions after observing them for a while.
It was strange... Like the time itself has stopped all of a sudden.
"He is alive." I broke the unusual atmosphere around us and asked Natsuki a weird question.
It was maybe weird for others but somehow this question alerted Natsuki.
"Mm... He is."
Well, that's rare. Never thought I will find this girl in melancholy.
... Huh, life is full of surprises.
"He is like this from years... Sitting here in the same position... Gazing at the stars.... "
"..."
"If a God doesn't want to be reborn, nobody can force him as well... Just leave it. You have a better boyfriend now, I am far better than him." I shrugged my shoulders and walked off. Her melodrama is not for me.
Natsuki glared at his back for his careless attitude but something pricked up her ears. "Doesn't want to be reborn..." She also quietly left that place along with silver.
...
"Hey, tell me what do you mean by doesn't want to be reborn."
Hmm... I turned around to find Natsuki clutching my clothes. "Why should I??"
Natsuki stopped abruptly. A sudden realization hit her. "Yea... why would you." How can she forget, that she is the captive here, and not him.
I peeked at Natsuki to find her dazed expression. "Though... I can tell you but if you answer my question first."
Natsuki looked upward to find him smirking... She took a deep breath and readied herself for what was coming next. "What is it?"
"Haha... Don't make a face like that. I am not going to ask you about your personal love life."
Natsuki frowned. "He is not my lover."
Haha, How can I let go of this wonderful opportunity. Seeing this proud and arrogant goddess in this helpless state in itself is bliss.
Should I drop the plans for Lena and first clean this Loli up? Nah... What if she killed me in my sleep. That would be terrible. Just thought of this Loli sliding the knife around my neck is terrifying. Huh, it's good It is not me from earlier which was a God-level stage or that would be troublesome.
"So Lol- ahem, Natsuki, who was that blue-winged man? The Archangel leader Michael??"
"Yes"
"Hmm... That's surprising, why can't you just contact Celestine directly."
"I won't enter her palace. It is heavily filled with light elements. Lidas is at her strongest in there."
"Oh, I see...."
".... So... Whose statue is it?"
"!!"
Natsuki said after a pause. "Light God."
As I thought, so he is Light God. Well, now we have one more piece at the hand. That's good, that's good... The more the merrier. Hahaha, this world seems much more interesting to me all of a sudden.
Natsuki grimaced. "Stop smirking and ask what else you need."
"Ah, I don't need anything. That should be enough." I glared at her with a hint of irritation. Can't she just let me enjoy for a bit.
Natsuki put on a surprised expression "That's it??"
"Is it that surprising. And stop ogling at me, I don't want to know your petite secrets. As for your information that Light God of yours is already past the Rebirth cycle, he can materialize into the physical state whenever he wants."
"... So why isn't he..."
"Don't ask me, it is his choice to get reborn or not. " I laughed inwardly, what does she think of me. I don't have answer to everything. Especially, the God, all of them are just weird bunch, nobody knows what goes inside the head of theirs. And Even if he did reborn, it will be useless as he won't have his memories from earlier.
Maybe he is trying to preserve his memories....
As for why Natsuki didn't know about the rebirth process, it is normal because even if a god has gone through that stage earlier he won't have its memories as the moment he materializes, all of his memories would be scrapped.
"Ah, by the way, look after the Silver I am going to me meet Lena at the academy. Just remember to not leave the city and please don't make any big movements." I spoke to Natsuki who was thinking, who knows what... I think I prefer the mute girl from earlier this one is Irritating.
What now? Is she leaving....? "Oye, I haven't left till now! Where are you going?"
"Just go and enjoy that human flesh. Don't bother me and I know how to live between humans, you don't need to worry about me leaving alone.
... I wasn't able to break your spell."
"What?! Of course, you can't do that girl." Gone?? Hmm... Same place again. C'mon girl just give up, you won't get something out of it. Nobody can force someone to live.
... Maybe I can force him to materialize but if he resists it will eventually break his soul which would result in his permanent death.
"Whatever, let's see Lena. I haven't visited her from many days.... But before that...." I grinned viciously and disappeared.
....
In a large room, a woman with auburn hair was sitting in the center. She had green eyes, though, a troubled look was apparent on the woman's face.
Today her daughter was taken away by the Empire princess allegedly on the engagement grounds with the crown prince. Although, she hated those two children from that witch but after they died everything should have been normal.
However, instead, Freya completely changed, her plans backfired somehow that explosion got her further detached from her, instead of reducing their distances. Further, Freya got even more attached to those witch's children after their death. And now before she can do something about it she was taken away.
Even, her own husband scolded her not because she was involved in the blast but because she was too hasty and choose the wrong timing. "Why this is happening like this?? It wasn't supposed to be this way..."
"Oh, so how it was supposed to be?"
"!!"
Before Lily can react to the sudden voice, her consciousness vanished and she fainted.
"Ohohoho... What we have here." I stared down at the unconscious body of the woman lying in front of me.
Previously, I had no plans to bother with Quentin's family, but now I seem to have a change of heart...
I licked my lips starting at her breasts. "Stepmother... You sure have a good pair here..." I inserted one of my hands inside her clothes and clutched her breasts... Oh... This is different...
"Okay, let's stop here..." Instantly, my eyes flashed with a red hue. I moved my hands outside of her clothes and smiled. "I think... I have a better idea." I picked up her body and teleported her to the sanctuary, regardless she won't be able to break my spell by herself.
After that, I left after placing a spell in the room, so that no one would be able to find any anomaly. I even made my stepmother's projection and placed her as a safety measure. Now there are zero chances for anyone finding something abnormal.
"Let's go...."
