"Didn't you want to visit adventurer guild?"
Austin asked suddenly as we were wandering through the Capital.
There isn't much change in him after the previous incident. It should affect him in long run. He has a lot of potential.
I can see he still feels bad about that innocent family being killed by me but that's ok you can't change someone ethics and beliefs in a single day. I am stepping in on a double-edged sword either he will be completely against me and I will have to kill him or the exact opposite. Whichever path he chooses it will not affect me much.
As for the sealed memories of mine, for now, I have decided to not think about them. Though, I can feel the seal weakening.
"Oh, yeah it's next to us."
"Next to us??"
I smiled mysteriously. "Turn left and go ahead."
"Eh? , ...okay." Although confused, he stepped into the narrow street to our left. I entered along with him as well.
After walking for few steps, front of him a three-story building was visible, precisely the Adventures Guild of Imperial Capital.
"How??" He tilted his confused. The lane was supposed to exist in the main street, how is he standing in front of Adventurers guild.
Austin looked back to find the lane which they exited had completely changed and a lot of people are going out and in of it.
"Just small space manipulation, Let's go."
"Ah, ok."
Inside was the same boring scene, parties discussing their strategies, few newbies going to the registration counters and the elites telling their majestic and great stories to the new adventurers.
This time our presence doesn't attract much attention as we have already hidden our aura. If I have some free time later, I would love messing around with those adventures for a bit, hehe.
I glanced at the stairs to the third floor. For now, let's focus on the target. I told Austin to stay in the hall and I myself proceeded alone.
Hmm... There is another presence at the door of the Guild Master office. Who is it? Last time I came I don't remember anyone other than Yves on the floor.
The second floor is all about exchanges and rewards so it is always crowded with adventurers but you can rarely spot anyone at third floor.
"Let's see." I moved above and just a the entrance of floor stairway there was a ... female elf?
That's rare Arcadia don't have many other races. It is mainly focused on humans. As for the Mithras Empire, you can occasionally spot other races due to it being a trade hub. Even officials from the Demon territory can be spotted few times.
I walked calmly towards her and greeted her with a gentle smile. "Ahem, Good morning. I would like to have an appointment with Miss Yves please."
She glanced at me and frowned slightly.
"Guild master is busy and is not meeting anyone today."
"Go and tell her Adventurer Leon is here. I believe she would more than happy to meet a handsome man like me." I smiled, showing all off my teeth.
"... Don't you get it. She isn't meeting anyone, turn back or I would have to call the security."
"Hey, Ivy is this rookie disturbing you? Shall I take care of him." A man spoke from behind me.
I laughed inwardly. Isn't this what I have been waiting for...
"And you are?"
"An A-Rank adventurer rookie, it will take you entire lifespan to get there. Now scram before I get angry." He grinned mockingly.
"Haha, thank you senior for the advice, I would keep that in mind. But I have come to meet Yves and nobody is stopping me today."
He chuckled. "Is it? Let's see how are going ahead." Kadera moved ahead showing of his muscles trying to intimidate me or ... to impress the elf beside me.
I looked back only to find the elf name 'Ivy' was standing there expressionless and is in no mood to stop us at all. This guy name Kadera was trying to court her for a long time and she was irritated by it. But if he can take care of this rookie out here she would be more than willing to go out on a date with him.
Today she got scolded by Yves for interrupting her, don't know why but the guild master is in bad mood from yesterday on certain someone.
On closer look, there were many peoples from the second floor staring excited looking for a good show. Austin was also included in the crowd. He moved up after hearing the commotion, but different from others he was watching Kadera with a sympathetic gaze.
"" Go Kadera "" "" Go ""
"Woah! You have a lot of fans dude."
"Don't worry they would drop you to the hospital " Kadera smiled viciously and moved.
Haha, this will be fun.
"D-Die!!!"
Without moving an inch, I stood there as Kadera rushed towards me with his spear. There wasn't a tinge of uneasiness or fear in my eyes, as if saying whatever Kadera did won't ever harm me.
Seeing this sight, Ivy furrowed and was about to activate her skills to protect Leon. Austin shook his head with pity. He knew now I am in the mood to play around with this guy named Kadera.
However, before the Ivy was able to cast the magic and protect me. Kadera was binded with twine plants, stopping his movement.
"W-What?!"
"That's enough."
"Awww, you interrupted the fun, Yves."
A dignified female voice rang throughout the guild hall signaling the end of Kadera's foolishness.
Ivy stiffened.
She looked towards the source of the voice which came from the direction of the stairs and saw the figure of a beautiful female with red hair and a man behind her.
"To think you would stoop such lowly as an adventurer. I've had endured your foolishness for long. Kadera of Crimson Spear, by my authority as the guild master of the Imperial capital branch Adventurer's guild, I, Yves Lurey Crea, revoke your adventurer's permit and declare that Kadera will not be associated with the adventurer's guild from this moment forward. The rest of the members of Crimson Spear who didn't stop this foolishness will also be given punishment in the form of two years confiscation of your guild cards. I hope this will be a lesson for you and other adventurers here to know shame and pride."
After the declarement of punishment on Crimson Spear, the man behind the guild master handed over a few documents to Yves and took his leave. As for the Kadera and his party members they were arrested on Yves order. The adventurers who crowded around this table were stunned by this development and some were even dumbfounded.
Yves walked towards me with elegant steps that resembled a nobility rather than an adventurer and smiled at me.
"It is nice to meet you, Leon. I was waiting for a long time for your arrival."
"The pleasure is mine." I smiled gently not affected by the slight frustration in her voice.
After the disturbance in the guildhall with Kadera, Yves invited me to her office.
The guild master's room here was filled with stacked papers, multiple documents with seals of Empire were scattered around.
She seems busy.
The decorations were just limited to simple vases with flowers and table cloths with flower patterns.
It seemed that Yves likes flowers judging by the decorations in the room and the flower pattern on her dress which I recognized as a yukata.
When the door was closed by Ivy, Yves turned at me.
"Do you think it was fun?"
"Why? wasn't it." I said, grinning as I pulled up a chair to sit down like I own the whole place.
She furrowed and spoke nothing. Then, she threw a bundle of papers at me.
"Did you even have an idea how much trouble you have created for me in the past few days?"
I nodded sincerely. "Hmm... I could take you to date to make up for it."
Yves flinched.
"Mind your words... What would Ellen think if she knows about it?" She spoke trying to look serious but was unable to hide the faint blush on her face.
"Only is she 'knows' about it, you always have an option to hide it from her."
"I won't betray her." She frowned.
Hehe, Time will tell. For now, let's focus on important matters.
"What is this about." I said pointing at one of the documents with my name written on it.
"This came from the Emperor, he is inviting you and Alex to the Imperial palace for dinner. Think it as a gratitude for saving the Princess life."
"Oh, send my regards to him. By the way, I won't go there." I said casually placing the documents down.
"It is an invitation from Emperor." Yves emphasised on the word emperor.
Even if he is the Emperor of heavens, my reply would be same.
I smiled. "Don't worry, I believe the princess won't mind."
"What does it has to with Aria...." Yves narrowed her eyes, looking at me suspiciously.
Soon, she sighed helplessly "Whatever, it's your personal matter do what you want. I don't care."
I raised a brow in surprise. Did she know about Aria?
"You know Aria?"
"Yea, I have met her few times when I was with Irene. She is her treasured student, so if you have any thoughts about her you better get it out of your head."
I nodded, as for the last part I pretended to have never heard it.
There was a brief silence. Yves was not bothered by it and quietly started sorting out the paperwork.
Is she testing my patience?
"... What about the Man earlier?" I spoke after a pause.
Yves stopped her work and glanced at me. "He was an official from Empire."
I narrowed my eyes and gazed at her with a serious expression. Yves panicked slightly and hurriedly added.
"We don't have any relationship, it was just regarding the security matters of Empire."
I chuckled seeing her panicked behaviour. "Haha, Miss Yves, I never asked about your relationship with him. No need to panic."
"N-No, it's nothing." Yves instantly realised her blunder and blushed.
To avoid the embarrassment she hurriedly took out few documents from the drawer and passed it on me. I took the documents from her hands silently not before glancing at her once.
Haha, this girl. If I don't find a way to marry her and take her home heavens will punish me.
"This is your new guild card and identification documents. I have promoted you to SS-rank."
Hmm... A sandwich between both sisters would be perfect.
Promoted!?
I removed all the thoughts of my head and glanced at her, slightly surprised. "Promoted?? I thought SS-rank will require the consent of Adventurers council."
Previously it consisted of all twelve SS rank adventurers, but now it should be eleven since James has died.
"Ellen was already there and Edger came and voted for you along with Arthur. As for the others, you got the vote from the other four, ... Total of seven out of eleven votes"
"Mm...I can understand three but about the other four? Who are they?"
Yves smiled, tired. "It was all because of your own feats. The news about you killing the James has already spread among high ranked adventurers... Maybe some of them voted because of that."
"Oh, yeah that can be plausible." I nodded unconcerned. It doesn't matter who they are as long as they don't create trouble for me.
"I am holding the public report of mission because of you, can you at least clear what exactly happened. When I asked Ellen, she replied vaguely as for Arthur and Edger they weren't ready to say anything." She spoke irritated, tiredness can be felt from her voice.
All the Empire's are requesting for the release of public information about the mission from past few days.
"Oh, yes I killed him. Nothing special, just publish the report as it is and for the details about beast, you can do as you like and please skip the 'God' part."
She should be vice enough to atleast fake a report.
Yves frowned. "You should be aware of the consequences. Right?"
"I am."
"Ok then, don't blame me later."
"Of course..."
"It is fortunate to see you are caring about me." I smiled and said in a flirtatious tone.
"It is not because of you but for Ellen," Yves replied briefly not caring about my attitude.
She already had enough. Now she is just too tired to argue with him anymore.
"That is even better news, we could all be together." I said without any shame. To be frank, she isn't rejecting any of my advances or else I would surely not dare to go to this level.
Yves put down her pen and sighed "Can't you be serious for a while."
"I-am-serious." I locked my eyes with her and said with all the seriousness which I could gather.
"Okay then... tell me how did you guys manage to kill the beast. Ellen told me it was a God? Where it is right now? She said the goddess is following you. Why can't I see it?."
"I don't know where she is, she said she will monitor me but I can't find her from a while." I shrugged and spoke innocently.
I really don't know where she is...
Yves took a deep breath and stared at me. "So you are saying she got lost, right? Then what about you being a pseudo-god. What excuse do you have for it?"
I smiled. "No excuse."
"GOOD, very good." Yves lost her cool.
She fumed up unable to control herself anymore. She stood up slamming her hands hard at the table. All the papers and documents get blown away by the impact.
"Do you regard all this as a joke? Oh I forgot you are a great near-god level being, all of this must be a joke to you right? ... Can you even understand your position right now? If information about you is leaked it can disrupt the whole balance. All the Empires will go to war just to get you on their side. Who doesn't want a near-god level being backed by a God itself?"
Smiling, I stood up from my seat and walked towards her. "I think you need a break" I held both of her shoulders and helped her sit down at the chair again.
Yves stared at me furiously trying to catch her breath. "Sigh, at least tell me about your mysterious origins? I don't want to be responsible for any wars which will take because of your presence."
... Should I tell her?
"Hmm... I can tell." I made a pondering look staring at her breasts.
Then, I placed my thumb on her alluring lips and rubbed them lightly. "But for that, you have to go on a date with me or at a discount, a kiss could work as well, Nah at least three should do."
... Will i stop at kiss? Haha, have you ever left your food unfinished. Didn't mom told you it is a bad habit.
To be honest I find Yves body more seductive than Aria. If Aria's body type is of untouched virgin lady which arouses desire to ravage then Yves possesses a seductive body which invites you every time you look at her.
"..." Yves fell silent.
She muttered after a brief pause.
"Get out."
"Eh?"
"I said GET OUT."
"Ah, okay..." A bit startled I moved back.
I paused briefly arriving near the exit, turned around and smiled.
"Cya, Miss Yves. Will be looking forward to our date next time." Then, I closed the door shamelessly and quietly left.
Inwardly, I was laughing. The next time I meet her she would have already fallen.
Ivy glanced at Leon's back wondering what they were discussing from so long. She doesn't remember guild master having a boyfriend.
She opened the door slightly and peeked inside. "Madam Yves, do you need anyt-"
"LEAVE ME ALONE." Yves screaming voice sounded from inside.
Ivy instantly closed the door shut with a strange look over her face. [What's with her?? Did she got dumped.]
Inside, Yves was left alone in silence.
"Again, ... why do you always lose your cool seeing him, Yves" Her mind was in emotional turmoil. For her dealing with Leon is getting even harder than rejecting Nobel's proposal for marriage.
"Why is he treating me like this... He is so nice with Ellen..."
"I shouldn't have screamed on him..." She whispered with her head down. There were traces of tears on her face.
If Ellen saw her sister right now, she wouldn't believe her own eyes the same sister which was always assertive and dominant on her is crying today because of her man.
