Heroes aren't born but created…this statement holds true especially in the land of Tremascus. From the time children can walk they are trained, mentored, and forged into warriors to protect the land from the forces of darkness. Upon a child's 18th birthday they face the hardest trial of their training by entering "the cave". Every village has access to a mystical portal that connects to the cave, inside they must find a weapon that responds to the soul. If they cannot find a weapon that responds to them they wander the cave for eternity eventually turning into the very beings they have spent their life training to destroy.
