Something was happening to me, and it almost scared me more than the men surrounding me.
I didn't let go of Bash's finger. It was another rock-and-a-hard-place situation. Letting him go would mean giving up, and holding onto him gave him the impression I wanted this. Whatever he was talking about had to be nonsense, but my gut warned me to be careful. Either way, I was doomed.
Strangely, I'm scared but not worried.
