"James, you need to calm down," Bailey urged, trying to get her mate to sit back down. "We're not getting anywhere like this."
"Why is this so complicated?" James demanded, listening to Bailey and sitting back in the chair. "I don't want Zoe involved in any of this anymore. I'm her father. That should be respected!"
"No one's saying you're not her father, James," Randy sighed, taking the lead. We were in my office, which I hadn't seen in a while, trying to deal with this without going to extremes. "I get it. Believe me, I do, but making threats and going to the worst possible solution isn't going to fix this. We need to talk rationally."
"How are we supposed to talk rationally when all of you keep telling me to let things happen?" the warrior demanded, his scowl deepening.
