"Why are you helping me?" I asked the question, hanging in the air. "Aren't you supposed to be neutral?"
"You think any of us are neutral?" I don't know if I could call the look she gave me dirty, but it was incredulous. "No one's fully impartial to this. Everyone has a side."
"Why?" I demand, glaring at her. "Why are all of you focused on us? Because we're supposed Riders?"
"Because you are Riders. Don't pretend you don't know the truth. You can't lie here. You know you are one of the Riders of Concealment, but do you know who you actually are?" She countered, sitting back on her throne, her snakes returning to her. "Do you know which Rider you embody?"
"No," The sarcasm came out. I wanted to leave but couldn't until she let me go. "No one's bothered to inform me."
