Ivan
I fell hard on my face.
The fall was unexpected, so I didn't prepare. Even when I hit the ground, rocks scraping my nose and forehead, I wasn't fully aware of what was going on. The last thing I remember was trying to convince Nefra to stay with me, that I'd keep her safe. So, how had I fallen? Did she hit me? Did I trip?
I instantly panic when I look to my side to check on the pups and find they're gone, along with the lake and everything around me.
"Easy," a voice I don't recognize urges, helping me up. "It'll take a second for you to remember where you are. Take a deep breath and focus on nothing else. What you saw isn't here. You aren't there anymore."
