"You don't get to ask that," I pointed out, feeling the sharp pain as my body changed again. "Sit down."
What I was doing was a huge risk.
Having Freddy and Aurora in the same room was a natural disaster waiting to happen. Still, other things made it dangerous. The more people who knew where I was, the more risk of someone spying on us to figure it out and telling Nathxena and anyone else involved in the koo increased. Our only saving grace was that Elane's house wasn't easy to find, even on a map, and it was still registered in her parent's name. It's why the squads used it as a shift change location and why the security was so good. That didn't make it impenetrable.
