I hate tinted windows!
We passed two of the werewolf squads on their way to the nursing home, and they couldn't see us because of the stupid windows! Quinten bound our mouths again, so we couldn't speak, and no matter how much I tried mind-linking someone, I got nothing. Yet, I could still use magic. The Alpha wolf didn't seem to have any powers, so he couldn't bind me. So, I did everything I could to get out of the ring's magic and somehow get a message out to anyone who knew me.
Sadly, all I managed to do was loosen the invisible rope enough to wriggle my wrists and ankles, and a tree or two on each block we passed suddenly changed colors. That would've been great if the color was blue or turquoise, but they just became the colors of fall. Not very useful in September when a few of the trees were already doing that. Still, I kept trying. If I gave up and Quinten took us out of the territory, I doubted Ivan would be able to find us.
