"I sound crazy, don't I?" Nefera sat at the end of the bed, looking at me like she expected me to agree. "Tell me I'm out of my mind and wrong."
"You said Vali woke up?" As much as I'd like to reassure Nefera that she's wrong. I can't do that. Not when I felt the same thing she did. "Did she say anything?"
"No, she just looked at Odie and laughed. Then she went back to sleep," With a scowl, Nefera laid back on the bed, her hand on her stomach. "I'm wrong, though, right?"
"I don't think you are," Lying beside her, I pull her into my arms, trying to help her relax. We weren't even finished with the witches. Simon was still yelling, but between Luke and the four top members of my pack, they were handling him.
