"It's cute," Taylor giggled, watching the teenagers from the window. "He's so awkward."
"Would you stop?" Shaking my head, I go back to pacing the waiting room.
Nefera had that stupid procedure, and I wasn't allowed in. That hadn't been the case initially, but Bailey threw me out after the third growl I gave when she got close to that horror she called a needle. Now I had to wait out here, knowing what the pack doctors were doing to my mate and feeling powerless to help. I knew this was for Devin's sake, but it scared me. It wasn't some ordinary exam. They were puncturing his safety, and so many things could go wrong.
"What?" Taylor grinned, going back to the window. "Like I'm supposed to be doing what you're doing? I'm nervous enough. This takes my mind off it."
"You have to admit, Alpha, it's kind of cute," Brandon shrugged, going to the other window to watch with Taylor. "She really doesn't like him."
