"Here," Cabe handed me my duffle bag, and I frowned at him. I'd almost fallen asleep waiting for him, but it couldn't have been more than fifteen minutes since he left. "I figured you'd want to clean up."
"How'd you get this?" I ask, taking the bag and quickly opening it. Nothing had been moved, and it was packed like I'd done this morning.
"Your truck was still parked at our entrance. I moved it for you. Figured you'd want to change." He shrugs, and I scowl. My keys were still with Nefera. If I didn't have a push-start model, I wouldn't have been able to drive. Cabe notices my suspicion and pulls something else out of his pocket. "I grabbed everything from her jeans."
"Is she still here?" I doubted that and hated that I wasn't there with her. I already knew they wouldn't let me enter the operating room, but I could still be there.
