Flipping through another page, I scan the words before reading the next one.
I don't know how long I've been at it, but I haven't found anything useful yet. My eyes were sore, and if I tried to get up, I'm sure I'd pop every joint in my body, but I had to find something. Honestly, it was a miracle I convinced Vince to let me see these. Ivan would have had a heart attack if he knew, but we were running low on choices. None of my books had anything on this, so I decided to check the ones from the enemy.

At least, that's what the introduction implied. The books were actually interesting. Yes, some dark magic was in some of them, but the authors meant most of the things I'd seen so far to help.
