All I want to do is save her right now, but I know I can't.
I think it's one of those things as her mate. I'll need to get used to it. Especially with Nefera, but it was the first time she asked me to save her. So how could I ignore that or pretend it didn't happen?
"How long are you planning on sitting in there?" Turning to the open window of my truck, I'm surprised to find grandpa Noah leaning on the door. I'd been so focused on Nefera I hadn't noticed him. "You have to let her fight this battle on her own."
"You know what's going on?" That meant one or both of my grandmothers set Nefera up for this. How could they do that to her? she was their Luna, maybe not officially, but that didn't matter. Unlike the rest of the pack, my family knew about Black coral and how it was trying to destroy Nefera's mental stability. I had to be close by to keep it at bay. So what made them think sending Aurora to face Nefera was a good plan?
