A voice speaks to me, but I'm between sleep and awake, so I'm not sure if I really heard it.
Nefera's voice moans sleepily beside me, and I nuzzle into her neck, trying to drift back to sleep.
It's the most rest either of us has had in days, the effect of Nefera biting me the same as when I bit her. Both of us gave out. The second Nefera's teeth released me. I felt the drain in my entire body.
I was wrong when I thought our bond was complete. What we'd had before was only a taste of the real thing, going far beyond what werewolves experienced.
I think if I were across the world, I'd still be able to feel her presence as if Nefera was beside me. Hell, I'm almost positive I could summon her to my side. That's how powerful the feeling was between us.
I was glad we were in bed this time. All we had to do was lie down and pass out without worrying about hurting ourselves.
