Ivan
"You're still upset," Nefra glances at me in the dark.
"I'm not upset," I reply, keeping my tone even.
"You remember that I can feel your emotions, right?" She arches an eyebrow at me. "So I brought her with us."
"Nefra, that isn't the problem," I snap, and she sighs, crossing her arms. "We can't trust her."
"Yes, we can," she argues. The same argument we've had for the entire drive. How could she let Jessica out? "Ivan, baby, would you trust me?"
"I just don't understand how the two of you are buds now."
"We're not," She rolls her eyes, acting like this isn't the weirdest thing in the world. "I hate her."
"You have a funny way of showing it," I grumble. The love of my life and my ex are planning to work together. I get it. Jessica specializes in things we don't, but it's still uncomfortable.
