"Well, this just goes to show you that even old people make dumb choices," I sigh, rubbing more of the honey on Mary's side. "This qualifies as idiotic, by the way."
"I was desperate," She scowls at me, staring as the burns begin to close. "I'm surprised you remember how to do this."
"Dying does that," I grumbled, grabbing the gauze and medical tape. "Besides, the less I think about it, the easier it is to remember."
"How does honey cure this?" Amanda hands me another piece of tape. "It's closing the wounds."
It wasn't. Unfortunately for Mary, the only cure for this was Agua pura, but I could ease her pain with raw honey.
"This is temporary. I'm just glad your coven keeps bees," I stick on the last piece of tape.
"Temporary is good. It's the first time I've felt normal," She breathes in relief. "
"How do you know she didn't make it right?" Luke asks me, leaning against the counter. "I mean, it looks painful."
