I could've stormed back upstairs, slammed the door to my room, and stayed there until I was ready to talk. That's not what I was planning to do, though. Instead, I was furious and angrier than ever, which was saying a lot. How dare he think I would lie down and take it! I wasn't some bitch in heat, desperate to be satisfied.
That last part might be a lie, but he didn't know me. I've done things I'm not proud of, surviving Ricky's wrath, but I've never begged for it or even submitted to a man. Not without a fight. Ivan couldn't assume I'd go along with everything and be happy. Not only because it was crazy, but I had no idea where that road led.
Was I expected to go home with him, open my legs to his every whim, and produce puppies for him? No, my life couldn't be that. Another man told me how to act and what I was supposed to feel. Besides, what the hell was a Luna supposed to do, anyway? How was I supposed to accept something I didn't understand?
