Everything became clearer, and it was a strange sensation.
The drink stayed in my system for hours, keeping me warm even as the temperature went down. Logically, going deeper into the mountains should've made them warmer, but logic has no place here, and with good reason. I saw that now. How can you expect a place that exists outside all things to fit into a nice, explainable box? You can't, and it's foolish to try.
However, it wasn't just my body temperature that the drink affected.
