"It's okay, it's okay," I soothed as the car moved. I tried leaning my body forward, biting on my cheek until I tasted blood. I'd put too much weight on my side if I wasn't careful. It wouldn't take much to tip us over. "I'll think of something else."
We had a very huge problem.
For Willow to get out of the car, she needed to wiggle her body from under mine. That caused two problems. One, the car kept moving. Second, the pieces of metal pinning me down restricted my movements. So, the only way I could help her get out was to push myself into them. Unfortunately, I couldn't risk that.
What would happen to my children?
