I passed out.
The overwhelming terror of the situation, mixed with the spike in my adrenaline and pregnancy, was too much, and I fell unconscious. If I died right now, I wouldn't know until I reached the other side. The same thing happened the last time, I hadn't felt the moment my life ended, but something told me there would be no bringing me back this time. This would be the end for me, Hannah, Willow, and my unborn children.
Yet, I didn't have the energy to stay alert.
I didn't go anywhere or see anything, only blackness. Even Vali wasn't pushing me to wake up; her energy attached to mine. However, I did hear voices calling for me. Some made sense to what was left of my higher cognitive skills, but others didn't. There was screaming, people giving orders, and even some voices pushing into my thoughts, begging me to wake up. The pack was trying to mind-link me. They were so insistent that whatever block had occurred was breaking apart.
