Six sections of a test that was now going to last six days?
"You said two days," I stopped, glaring at Mary, who stopped to face me. "Now it's six?"
"It was discussed and decided that cramming it all into two days would be too much for you," She sighed, holding her hands out in an apologetic fashion. "It wasn't my decision."
"A heads up would've been nice," Nefera grumbled, climbing out of the passenger side.
"Believe me, if I'd known, I would've called," Mary didn't look pleased about it, but she also seemed resigned. "I'm sorry. Things aren't what they were going to be, and when we go inside, you'll understand why."
"And you can't tell us why?" Nefera stopped, leaning against the truck with her arms crossed. "What's going on?"
"Just come inside. Meet everyone, and you'll see," She urged, glancing at the large estate home. "Try to be respectful… Try."
