At first, most of the pack didn't realize what Nefera was doing.
They were caught up in the energy after watching their Luna blow out her candles, but I noticed how my mate had to almost force herself to do it. Something was missing from her, and the problem was that she didn't even know what it was. Unfortunately, that made it more challenging to help her, but that had to be pushed aside for now. Nefera was right. I didn't want to wait anymore, either.
As magical items that came from nothing, the boxes were unremarkable. They were unadorned, and the wood needed to be sanded down. The only decoration was Nefera's name on the top, but even that was simple. I wouldn't have believed they were important if I hadn't been outside and hadn't known what they were. Yet, even though they looked harmless, they were powerful enough to change the course of our lives.
