'Jai,' Vishnu lifted his head, sniffing the air. 'Dad...here.'
"Yeah, George still has him downstairs," I put my phone down, reaching out and stroking my brother's head. "I went to see him earlier."
"Luna?" Brandon had been watching us, getting up and moving toward the door. "Everything alright?"
"Vishnu's saying my dad is here," I shrug, sitting in bed. "Trip must be awake."
'No,' Vishnu got up from my bed, walking toward the door. 'Not Tripurari, Jai.'
"Tripurari? That's his rooster's name?" I was beyond the point of being surprised that I'd known to call him Trip, but I was disappointed nothing popped up in my memory about it. It was not for free, and I didn't know the price it would cost me to take that shortcut. "You feel Jai?"
'Father's…smell,' He growled, pawing at the door. 'His…power.'
