"If this is going to keep happening, I'm carrying an overnight bag," I complain, sliding the remains of my dress over my body. "Did you see how fast she ran?"
"Not as fast as her dog," Ivan sighed, looking in the direction we'd just come. "The overnight bag might not be a bad thing."
"Yeah, well, having a woman scream until you wake up isn't the greatest wake-up call," I grumbled, rubbing my sore wrists. "She probably thought I was dead."
"Oh yeah," Looking down, Ivan tried not to laugh, but he failed. "I mean, she did see a wolf curled up around you…"
"Stop!" Now I was trying not to laugh. 'She's probably calling the cops."
"You're right, it's not funny," Again, he snorts, bursting into laughter that only has me going too.
