"This is the packhouse?" I frown at the building. It was run down, but you could tell it used to be a nice place. "How did they all live here?"
Robin and her friends told us Fletcher's father moved everyone into the packhouse after the witches made their deal with him. Honestly, that wasn't a coincidence. I also don't think he was put under a spell to do it. That might sound pessimistic, but I remembered the memory I'd seen on that paper. Fletcher's father was sold a lie, and his greed was tempted, but in the end, he was the one who made those choices.
"I don't know," Ivan frowned, getting Pen-Pen from the back. "You still good with staying at the hotel?"
I'm glad I hadn't fought him on that. I was going to the night before when he'd booked the room but seeing the former pack's main building, I didn't feel comfortable staying there.
