Nefera's screams were torture to me. Tearing through my entire body and making it impossible to breathe. It took five of them to hold me down, and I was still fighting them. I didn't care about being Alpha. Not when my mate was in so much pain. When Aurora bit Nefera's neck, I nearly lost it, but there isn't a word for what I feel now.
We all feel it. Not just my pack but the other pack leaders who need help understanding what's happening. Fuck, I couldn't explain it because I have no clue. Only when I see Nefera's hair changing color, then I understand. When I see that, I stop struggling against them, watching calico turn dark red. The familiar sound of breaking bones and ripped muscles is something we all know too well but never expected to see with Nefera.
"She's shifting." I manage, pushing the werewolves off me before getting back on my feet. "Nefera's shifting."
