The most brutal fight to win is the one you never had to fight in the first place. The one where you lay it all on the line because you feel you have no choice, but you did. That's what it feels like now, staring at Ivan. We both want the same thing, and I know he'd give up his life for Penelope and me just like I would for them. The worst part was that if the situation were reversed, I'd tell him not to do something stupid. The problem is, I don't know what else to do.
The only people moving are Danny and Brandon as they get the wolf in the back of the car. He's bleeding everywhere, and I don't know if he'll make it. That was heartbreaking on its own, but I can't give him all of my attention. Not when I still have to worry about Pen-Pen and Sierra. What had Aurora's father done to them? Were they hurt?
